Perhaps soon Fred Olsen ships will even be employing resident Mehndi artists on their ships.

Traditional Mehndi is an important part of culture for many. It is an essential part of the outfit of Indian brides, for example. Mehndi may have begun as a simple form of decoration, but over time, it has absorbe itself into the cultures and traditions of huge swathes of the world.It is interesting to think about how the two things interact: human beings in every culture in every part of the world have always had an urge to decorate themselves. Very often, these decorations take on a meaning over and above simple aesthetics, as Mehndi has. They can often be part of ritualistic ceremonies and traditions.
